How I use it
I got this laptop in 2024 on some kind of special, $300-$400 cheaper than it is right now. My goal was to run local LLMs and to use as my daily driver, intending to run Linux on it full time. However, sadly business needs dictated that I put Windows back on it.
I got it with 32GB RAM and 512GB SSD which I knew I was upgrading to 64GB Crucial DDR5 and added a 2TB Samsung M.2 in the second slot.
It's been a wonderful machine as a daily driver, and I can run many medium to large size LLMs like Deepseek, Qwen, Llama3, and more with no issues. It's been my favorite laptop purchase in years.

Quick pro tip: I first got a WD Black 2TB drive and had significant issues with it running Linux Mint. Then found that it was almost impossible to update the firmware as suggested. Got a Samsung drive and had no issues.
